Mills Memorial Hospital Replacement - Terrace, BC
Project Overview
We are building a new, state-of-the-art hospital in Terrace, BC, to address current and future patient care needs in Northwest BC. More than double the size of the existing facility (approximately 356,500 square feet), the new hospital will be a centre for trauma services, orthopedic surgeries, pathology, radiology, and pharmacy services. almost 3 years agoTell us what you are most excited about when it comes to a new hospital being built in Terrace.
Me Againover 2 years agoWhy are tearing down a perfectly serviceable Seven Sisters? Also, let's keep Mills for detox/treatment.
Let's optimize the whole block

In the current hospital, I have no idea where I'm going, and it's stressful. I really hope the new hospital is easy to find my way around.

I suggest a wrap-around mural showing medicinal plants, done with a First Nation art style.

Where are the windows

When it comes to building a new hospital, what is most important to you and your loved ones?
almost 3 years agoSArtisalmost 3 years agoThat the hospital is welcoming and peaceful.
I often have to go to the hospital with my young kids. And it's usually not under the best circumstances. I'd like the new hospital to be comfortable and welcoming. I want the decor to give a sense of calm and wellness, not feel like a place of sickness, or an institution. I'd like the waiting rooms to be comfortable aka. spacious, quiet and with a kids corner,
0 comment0Norm Parryalmost 3 years agoTo have a forest around it.
The old forest was left with a buffer between the highway and the facility. I was really pleased with this. Now I go by and the buffer is gone and we are looking at all the dirt etc. I am really disappointed that someone that it was okay to mow all of trees down.
