Let’s Talk Northern Health is an online space that connects you to conversations and consultations that we’re hosting across Northern BC. It’s a place for information sharing, for gathering ideas and feedback, and, especially, for making connections.

While we want to connect with you here, to protect your privacy, we ask that you do not share details about your personal health situation or history. 

Connecting with Northern BC residents is part of Northern Health's (NH) mandate, and it’s a priority for us. Doing so enables dialogue with the public, with patients and families, with our staff and physicians, and with our many partners and stakeholders. 

It creates opportunities for transparent, two-way discussions that matter; a chance to learn from each other; and lays the foundation for a stronger relationship between Northern BC residents and their health system. These discussions can also help identify and set priorities or direction, contribute to or make decisions, influence change, and assess and evaluate programs, policies and services.

Northern Health is committed to supporting our population to be healthy and stay healthy. We’ll achieve this with the right services and programs in the right place and time, planned with patient and community engagement, and provided by competent and caring providers. We’ll work with our partners to improve patient outcomes, population health, and safety in our health system.

An important goal of connecting with you is to make sure decisions are well informed by the public, our patients and families, our staff and physicians, and other stakeholders. Most times, the conversations and consultations on this site are part of a larger effort to give people with more than one way to give input on an initiative we’re working on.

All the feedback and comments we receive on this site are combined with feedback from other sources (like public meetings). Then they’re summarized, sorted into categories, and shared with decision makers. As part of our process we report back what we have heard
